GASHUKU - A lesson for life.

"This last year-end Gashuku was very intense for me, with many things happening at the same time, little time to rest, some things to solve and a lot to learn. It has been a while since I trained in Brasilia, it was in 2012 when I took my first experimental class and enrollment and started to train Iaijutsu.
I have always been a very quiet person, physically and mentally, not to say sedentary and shy. Work colleagues had started fitness activities, running, sports and healthy eating. And I had never been interested in these things and, although I had no problems with my weight, I felt very discouraged to do anything and take initiatives. This was very evident to the people around me, who started to tell me that if I didn`t do anything in my life I would die at 40 with a pee bag tied to my abdomen and weighing 200 kg.
Bothered by the criticism, I decided to do some physical exercise. But as I found running very boring, I decided to start a martial art. And, that`s when I heard about Niten on the internet and decided to get to know it.

First, when I enrolled and showed up at the first training session, I said that I was looking for a place in Niten to do physical exercises, also known as the gym. And, just over a year of training, I found myself uncomfortable with the way Niten treated people. Definitely Niten is not a gym. You can`t go 3 times a week to sweat your shirt, say a good empty day and go home satisfied. Niten is much more than that, and I didn`t understand that at first. Only after a year stopped without going to the training I understood, Niten is a place to strengthen the spirit, the physical comes with time. And, a teaching from the Golden Moments is better than 100 books.
I went back to training and today one of the best feelings of my life is being able to finish a heavy training like this year-end Gashuku with a feeling that I managed to reach the end and that I did my best, without regret. A lesson for life.

Samuel - Dojo Brasília

Faced with a world in which it is possible to find the most varied, unimaginable and even unthinkable lessons with just one click, we are still not satisfied. Full...
The same goes for when we do exercise, sports and physical activities. We lack something...
This something is what Samuel describes as "the best feelings in your life".
And where can we find such "sensations" then?

- Living with a master of life (if we are lucky enough to find)...
This is an evident testimony that, even in the face of life`s mishaps, hold on to your master and you will get there.
